A big ministry in a small package

The Knit and Pray group has made these little hats to go to the hospital for preemies. They don’t just make prayer shawls and baptismal blankets! Are they not the cutest things?

To be a part of the Knit and Pray group, join us Tuesday mornings at 10am in the parlor, or contact the church office.

A Visual Meditation on Holy Week

The image below was created by one of our young people this past Sunday. It struck me and Pastor Eric as an important reminder of all that takes place in Holy Week.

Help! Senior dog needs foster home! UPDATED

Updated April 3: Thanks to two great Ann Street families, Lena had a place to go Sunday, and has found a home hopefully until her human mother can reclaim her (and maybe even a forever home if she can’t). You two are my heroes!

Lena takes some expensive medication ($100/month), so if you can help defray that cost, we would be grateful. Please contact Pastor Anne in the office. Thanks!

Lena, whose human mom is a member at Ann Street, has to find a new home immediately.

Lena is an older dog with special needs, but she is also a very sweet little dog who would make someone a great companion for a couple of months or for life.

She is a 20 pound dachshund-cocker spaniel mix, just off-white with light red spots…her mom calls them freckles. She has a heart condition that is well-controlled with medication, and enjoys short walks for exercise. She is a loving girl who also likes riding around town in the basket of her mom’s bicycle. She has been an only pet but is not aggressive around dogs or cats. She can be shy, though.

If you know someone who might like to share their home with this sweet older girl, please contact the church office or email Pastor Anne at revanne@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Update, Sunday, April 1: Lena has a temporary home for now, but still needs a longer-term solution. Please let us know if you can help!

Historical Bricks For Sale!

Buy a piece of Ann Street United Methodist Church history by purchasing a brick taken from the chimney of the original Ann St. sanctuary building. The bricks have been cleaned and authenticated and are available for $5.00 each. A portion of the proceeds goes back to the church. The youth are raising money for a mission trip to the NC mountains this summer.
